Whey Protein Concentrate

What is Whey Protein?

Whey Protein Concentrate is 80% whey protein and has a very low fat and carbohydrate content. The Whey Protein powder is obtained through the process of ultrafiltration. This gently separates it from the powder's other components. These are carbohydrates and fats. Thanks to this gentle production process, the bioactive substances are preserved. The lactose content of the Whey Protein is also very low. It contains hardly any fat or carbohydrates. The amino acid profile stands out for its high content of essential amino acids. These essential amino acids cannot be produced by the body itself and must therefore be supplied from outside.

How is Whey Protein made?

Whey Protein, or whey protein (Whey Protein is the English term for whey protein), is a natural product made from whey. The whey is obtained from milk (whey is a by-product of cheesemaking). The whey powder is processed and spray-dried. This results in a whey powder with around 30% protein. The rest consists of carbohydrates and fats. The powder can then be filtered. Filtering mainly retains carbohydrates and fats. This increases the protein content of the powder. Once the whey powder contains around 80% protein, it is flavoured and sweetened, then packaged.
