“Looking after my own body simply feels good, and for me regular exercise is a valuable counterbalance to a demanding working life. Training with you and out in nature helps me enormously to reduce stress, clear my head and develop a positive relationship with my body. A few years ago I was carrying 15 kilos more. Since then I’ve been able to keep my weight steady through targeted changes to my diet and staying consistently active.

“As a long-standing member, I still love training at update Fitness across different clubs. Two strength sessions a week are part of my personal hygiene, just like brushing my teeth every day. I value the upbeat coaches and the warm conversations with them. All I can say is: here’s to the next 25 years of update Fitness.

“update makes us happy and keeps me fit. My instructors Moni, Sarah and Gabi give me the motivation I need, even on the days when body and mind aren’t quite willing. I’ve been a member for over 10 years now, and I always will be.

“I’ve been part of it since update Münchwilen opened. After a stroke, I can do almost everything again. update Fitness gives me the support and the friendly atmosphere to make that happen.

“You’re helping me reach my ideal weight by giving me a place where I feel comfortable as a woman (I was overweight to begin with) and genuinely enjoy training in every one of your clubs. I’m halfway there now, and I’ll keep going with plenty of training and patience.

“As a new member, I appreciate the long opening hours and the modern equipment to train on. The cleanliness of the clubs deserves a special mention.

“Right from my first look around the training areas at update, I was amazed by the generous space in the club. Alongside their anatomical expertise, the trainers at update also have a wide range of different exercises on the machines ready to go, tailored specifically to my problem. That brings variety to my training and strengthens both my motivation and my muscles. Thanks to training regularly at update and stretching thoroughly afterwards, I’ve been able to put off a hip operation for years now, and perhaps avoid it altogether.

“I love training at update Fitness because the facilities are impeccable, because I like how it’s run, because the setting is perfect, because the staff are always so attentive and friendly, because the equipment is the best I’ve seen in Switzerland, and because it’s one of the few clubs where you can sit down for a moment before or after your workout to read a book or simply clear your head.

“My name is Marlies and I’m 74 years young! I’ve been training at update for a year now. I’m looked after perfectly and I look forward to my workout every single time. After back surgery I had paralysis symptoms in both feet. The strength in my legs has increased enormously and my steadiness lets me walk better. I’m staying with it and carrying on! When will you join us?

“Because I find the club in Schönburg, with its view over the surroundings, absolutely beautiful. Always immaculately kept, with so many wonderful machines. And because I’ve found that not only my body but also my brain works better. I’m so grateful that update is there for me.
