At Marktgasse 24 we offer you a modern, well-equipped training environment across a generous 1'400 m² for your health, strength and endurance. The centre is extremely central in the heart of Bern and, with its 24/7 opening hours 365 days a year, gives you maximum flexibility for your workout. Whether you want to build specific muscle strength, take part in dynamic group classes or do something preventive for your well-being: our experienced COACHES are always happy to help you with advice and support.

The annual membership for CHF 699.– is valid at all update Fitness locations throughout Switzerland and includes the complete fitness and class offering, along with personal support.
In our studio at Marktgasse 24 you can expect first-class equipment and a well-thought-out room concept for every form of training. Thanks to our 24/7 opening hours (around the clock), you train 365 days a year completely independently of fixed time slots, whenever it fits perfectly into your day.
Our centre in the heart of the Berner Altstadt offers a varied and barrier-free range:
Strength & free weights area: Strength equipment park including numerous wheelchair-accessible machines, a varied plate-loaded area and a generous free-weight zone.
Fle.xx back centre: Specialised Fle.xx machines for effective muscle endurance training, to target and strengthen your back and help prevent tension.
Cardio park with entertainment: Modern cardio machines with TV, internet and virtual routes. Thanks to a reliable internet connection, you can stream your favourite videos or scroll through your social media feeds during your workout.
In cooperation with Physiotherapie Neuengasse, we offer physiotherapy support directly in the centre. Whether for rehabilitation after injuries, pain therapy or targeted prevention: the competent therapy team supports your recovery sustainably and, together with our COACHES, ensures an optimal return to your active training.
Your safety and optimal training success are our top priority. During on-site supervised hours, our coaches accompany you personally, guide you through thorough introductory training and create an individually tailored training plan.
During remotely supervised hours, our liveCOACH system is available to you right on the floor. Via an interactive info terminal, you can contact a coach live at the push of a button at any time:
Personal advice: The liveCOACH has real-time oversight of the entire training floor, answers your questions about exercise technique and gives you individual guidance.
Full safety: Thanks to the live overview, the liveCOACH can, if needed, speak directly through the public address system and, in an emergency, immediately call the rescue or on-call service.
Fitness in a group is even more fun! In our large group fitness room we offer you a varied range of supervised classes. In addition, your update membership gives you free access at any time to our extensive online fitness portal with numerous live classes and on-demand workouts, for on the go or at home.
As a member of update Fitness, you enjoy maximum freedom: with your annual membership for Bern Marktgasse, all other update Fitness locations throughout Switzerland are automatically open to you at no extra cost.
