FIT

The word "fit" already existed in Latin, where it meant "it becomes", "it happens" or "it is made". In English, "fit" means "suitable". A link to the Old English word "fitt" (today: "fight"), meaning "battle", may also have played a role in the origin of the word "fitness".

"Fitness" generally refers to physical wellbeing, but often mental wellbeing as well.
