5 Tips for Your Beach Body

2 min read

Summer is getting closer and closer. You can meet up again at the lake or the outdoor pool. Everyone wants to look good in a swimsuit.

With a few tricks and the right diet, the kilos will definitely come off.

1. Increase your calorie burn through strength training

Strength training is a matter of energy balance. If you consume more calories than you "burn", you gain weight. If more calories are "burned" than consumed, body fat is broken down. So make sure you have a negative energy balance. Through regular, intensive strength training you can increase your energy needs and thus consume more calories until your energy balance is balanced.

2. Your muscles need protein

Eat plenty of protein-rich foods such as fish, lean meat, eggs, dairy products, legumes. Proteins are the true satiators. Get yourself a high-quality whey protein powder.

3. Adjusted amount of carbohydrates

Eat small portions of carbohydrate-rich foods such as bread, pasta, potatoes etc. at most 1 - 2 times a day. Prefer the wholegrain variety, which contains plenty of dietary fibre that also has a positive effect on digestion and promotes a feeling of fullness. Cravings are reduced.

4. Drink enough calorie-free beverages

Suitable are unsweetened tea, mineral water, vitamin- and mineral-rich drinks such as fresh vegetable juices (diluted with water) or coffee (black). Unsuitable are energy-rich, vitamin- and mineral-poor drinks such as soft drinks, light drinks and alcohol.

5. Don't forbid yourself anything!

Forbidding is forbidden! The stricter the ban, the greater the desire for it. Give in to temptation now and then and don't panic about small indulgences. Everything is allowed – but in moderation.

Diet is a very important building block on the way to your summer figure. A negative energy balance is decisive. With the tips mentioned, you can achieve this energy balance quite simply.

In addition, incorporate plenty of movement into your everyday life. Be patient and keep going until you reach your goal.

Good luck putting this into practice!
